Remember the Excitement?
Do you remember your first visit to a planetarium? How about the first time you saw a dinosaur skeleton? Do you remember the excitement? Do you remember how your imagination went crazy with awe and wonderment?
We at TXMOST (Texas Museum of Science & Technology) are here to stimulate our visitors’ awareness, understanding, and participation in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through interactive experiences.
The journey has been a long one starting in 2004. We’ve welcomed more than 100,000 students with the Discovery Dome, our very successful mobile planetarium program that we started in 2010. We opened our interim facility in Cedar Park in March of 2015 and will continue to seek out a permanent location. We do hope you’ll come visit.
For many years we were the largest city in the United States without a planetarium or science museum. Our interim facility has solved that problem temporarily - but it’s only the next step in our journey. We are very eager to secure a permanent location.
To get there we need you. Will you join us on this exciting journey?
Sharing this story with your friends and family can help us reach out to everyone who loves science but doesn’t know we’re here. We’d like to encourage you to share stories about your first planetarium show or science museum visit and we’re always appreciative for any donations.
